Sylvia has over 30 years of business experience, holding senior leadership positions in marketing and communications on both the client and agency sides of the business, before making the transition into executive search. Having hired, managed and mentored many sales, marketing, financial, operations, manufacturing and HR professionals over her career, Sylvia understands the importance of finding the right people and fit for an organization to shape their team and set them up for success.

Prior to joining ExeQfind Group, she was the co- founder and President of Madison MacArthur with offices in Toronto and New York. With her many years in the business, Sylvia has developed strong client relationships with some of North America’s most prominent public and private sector employers. She has an Honours BA in Communications. A recognized leader in the executive search profession, Sylvia was on the Board of Directors of the world’s largest executive search alliance for several years and was also the past President of this organization. In addition, she was named one of the top 100 global executive recruiters by BusinessWeek Magazine.

Sylvia’s experience in the consumer & retail sector is extensive – having worked with some of the biggest consumer bands and retailers. Consumer brands companies she has worked with include fast-moving consumer goods like foods and health & beauty aids, to hardware, housewares and sporting goods manufacturers. Retailers whose teams she has helped build include big box, grocery and general merchandise, as well as specialty retailers and department stores. Executive placements that she has made with these clients run the full gamut from sales, marketing, finance, legal, IT, human resources and operations to business development, merchandising and supply chain.
