Warren Carter leverages almost three decades of experience advising small to mid-sized corporations in the recruitment of finance and accounting leadership. He began his career in executive search in 1997 at RSM, an audit, tax, and consulting firm focused on the mid-market, where he supported clients in finance management and leadership searches. His early career tenure at RSM helped shape his understanding of the critical role of financial leadership in growing organizations.

Since then, Warren has led retained search engagements for Controllers, Vice Presidents of Finance, and Chief Financial Officers across agribusiness, industrial manufacturing, food processing, medical devices, nearshoring, professional services, and hospitality. He has supported organizations throughout North America, as well as companies with operations in EMEA and APAC.

Warren is known for his consultative, emotionally intelligent approach to executive search. He partners closely with CEOs, Boards, and ownership groups to clarify leadership requirements, assess cultural alignment, and ensure that finance leaders are positioned to support long-term strategic objectives. His experience includes supporting organizations navigating growth, succession planning, expansion initiatives, and operational transformation.

An honorably discharged veteran of the United States Navy, Warren holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Hawaii Pacific University.  His background informs his disciplined, thoughtful approach to leadership assessment and advisory engagement.
